Making ML pay where nobody had bought it
At Aware Group we shipped applied machine learning across five sectors, among them agriculture, conservation and manufacturing, long before any of them had a budget line for it.
The pattern that repeated
In every sector the win looked the same: find one expensive, repeated judgment call a human made from experience, and put a model next to it. Not replacing the expert, but compressing the time between question and confident answer.
Why it generalizes
Industries that had “never bought AI” bought outcomes. The sector never mattered as much as whether there was a measurable, recurring decision with money attached. There always was.
